The deluxe is a much more powerful unit than the standard unit, it has the same LED light as the standard unit to let you know the unit is on and operating, but the deluxe has it's own built in cooling fan as you can see in the above photo, it also has two 2 1/4" alligator clips that can be unplugged from the unit when not in use. If later on in time the alligator clips have to be replaced you can reorder a set. It also comes with it's own instruction manual, this is a powerful unit for the serious coin or artifact hunter
